In this post, I am going to show you how to install BlueFire for Trucks on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Before you start, you will need to download the APK/XAPK installer file, you can find download button on top of this page. Save it to easy-to-find location.

Below you will find a detailed step-by-step guide, but I want to give you a fast overview of how it works. All you need is an emulator that will emulate an Android device on your Windows PC and then you can install applications and use it - you see you're playing it on Android, but this runs not on a smartphone or tablet, it runs on a PC.

Step By Step Guide To Install BlueFire for Trucks using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen
  3. Once installed, click "BlueFire for Trucks" icon on the home screen to start using, it'll work like a charm :D

[Note 2] about Bluetooth: At the moment, support for Bluetooth is not available on BlueStacks. Hence, apps that require control of Bluetooth may not work on BlueStacks.

BlueFire for Trucks connects to your truck via the BlueFire Data Adapter. The Adapter plugs into the 9 pin or 6 pin diagnostic port of your truck and sends J1939 and J1708 information to the app via Bluetooth. The Adapter is available for purchase from Amazon and from our store at https://bluefire-llc.com/store.

The BlueFire for Trucks app is free and will run in Demo mode without the Adapter. This provides an opportunity to view the functionality that it offers prior to purchasing an Adapter.

A summary of the features the App has is given below:

- Gauges - Customize and view your truck gauges and view the values in real-time.

- Trip Recording - Record information about your trip to compare performance with previous trips. Trips can be emailed and saved in an Excel .csv file.

- Fuel Economy - Shows information to help you get more value from your driving.

- Truck Repair - Shows a multitude of truck information that can help determine the cause of a problem and help repair your truck.

- Fault Diagnostics - Shows any and all faults (active and in-active) along with information to help repair them. Allows reseting the faults after being repaired.

- Truck Information - Shows the VIN, make, model, and serial number of the truck, engine, brakes, and transmission.

- Data Logging - Allows logging of truck data at a set interval and saving the data in an Excel .csv file for later analysis.

- IFTA Recording - Records fuel usage within States traveled. Information totaled by State includes duration, distance, fuel used, idle fuel used, engine hours, and idle hours. Detects leaving and entering States that are bordered on Canada and Mexico. IFTA data is stored in an Excel .csv file for downloading via email.

- Multi-Lingual - When the translations are complete the app will be available in Spanish, Portuguese, and French.
