This is an Android application that checks your IMAP account(s) to see if there are new messages. It was created in response to the bugginess of the stock e-mail application that comes with Android. The stock application has a tendency to hang giving the user no idea whether or not there are new e-mails awaiting them. Sometimes the only way to know if a new e-mail is available is by using another client to check my IMAP accounts. I don't want to use another client and poll my accounts on a regular basis since the client is heavy and slow. All I want is a robust application to notify when an e-mail needs to be read. My android application does not hang and will notify you if there are e-mails in your IMAP account.
Allows applications to open network sockets.
Allows applications to access information about networks.
Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.
Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting.
