A lightweight application for easy switching of the motion detection mode of your IP Camera. At the moment, the known supported models are DLink DCS-2330L⁽¹⁾, DCS-5020L⁽²⁾ and D-Link DCS-5222LB⁽³⁾.

The IP Cam Motion Detection Switch allows you to check the motion detection status and switching it ON and OFF with just a click of a button. While the same can be achieved with the DLink app, the official tool is slow and cumbersome. Instead of connecting to the DLink server, the app updates and pulls data directly from the device itself.

Basic Instructions
• In order for the application to work, you must be able to browse to the admin console page of your IP Camera from your mobile device.
• To do so outside of your home network, you'd need to know the public IP address assigned by your ISP.
• If you are not using a fixed (static) IP, consider using Dynamic DNS such as DynDNS or Duck DNS
• To reach your IP Camera, you might need to setup Port Forwarding on your router. For better security and to support more than 1 device, it's better to use a random, non-standard port. More information on Port Forwarding can be found here - http://www.howtogeek.com/66214/how-to-forward-ports-on-your-router/
• The app only supports HTTPS as earlier firmware uses Basic Authentication where credentials were sent in the clear.
• Host 2 will be used if the camera couldn't be connected using Host 1. Typically used as a fallback address e.g. private IP or FQDN
