Foxed Pages is a calm, paper-feeling reading tracker. Every book you keep is a small foxed (yellowed, age-spotted) page in a private journal: a chapter heading at the top, a drop-cap initial, a ruled progress line, brown foxing-spots spreading slowly the more time the volume spends on your stack. The whole interface is laid out like the pages of an old book — a running header strip with the brand and today's date, two "pages" of content separated by a center-fold ornament, a 14-day fortnight of foxing-dots, and three cloth-ribbon bookmarks hanging from the bottom edge in lieu of a tab bar.

PAGES (home)
The home screen is a two-page spread of an old book. A running header at the top names FOXED PAGES on the left, today's date in the centre, and holds a small wax-seal "+" in the top-right corner — the only action button up there, intentionally far from the usual bottom-right reach so it doesn't catch the thumb during reading. Chapter I, Today, fills the first page: a giant page-count number for today, a streak chip, and a time-at-the-lamp chip stacked to its right. Below, an "open book" panel shows the volume you've been reading most recently — with the READ button placed on the LEFT of the book row, a deliberate inversion of the usual right-side action. The next chapter, II — The stack, lists the rest of your books in roman-numeral order with foxed-page thumbnails. Below the two pages, a "last fortnight" row shows fourteen foxing-dot circles whose size and warmth scales with how many pages you turned that day. A page-number footer set in roman numerals closes the spread. The bottom navigation is three cloth-ribbon bookmarks — PAGES, LEDGER, STACK — hanging like silk markers from a hardback's head-band.

THE BOOK (per-book detail)
Each volume has its own chapter. A larger foxed-page cover sits at the top with a coloured silk ribbon down its right edge, three stat cells (readings, pages turned, time at the lamp), and a big reading-timer. When you sit down with the book, press OPEN THE BOOK · START READING; the timer counts up, and CLOSE THE BOOK ends the session and asks for your current page and an optional marginal note. Past readings are listed below in date order — long-press a reading to tear it out.

MARGINALIA (stats)
The marginalia page gathers all the numbers: current streak of reading days, your longest streak, total pages turned across all volumes, total time at the lamp, and how many volumes you've closed. A fourteen-day chart shows pages-per-day, and a "most-read volume" panel surfaces the book you've put the most pages into so far.

THE STACK (settings)
The stack screen holds the add-a-volume form (title, author, total pages, ribbon colour, mark), the full list of your stack with reorder/edit/remove controls, and your preferences: haptic feedback, the dark mahogany-endpaper palette, and whether the week starts on Monday. A reset action clears the entire stack.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
All volumes, readings, and notes are encrypted on your device with AES, using a key stored in the Android Keystore. The released app has no INTERNET permission at all — it physically cannot send anything anywhere. There is no account, no cloud, no sync, no notifications, and nothing is ever transmitted.

Foxed Pages starts with a small sample stack seeded in so the app isn't empty on first launch, and you can wipe everything at any time. It doesn't gamify, nag, or guilt. It just keeps a quiet, foxed record of the pages you've turned and the time you've spent reading.
