Kindling is a quiet daily mood journal kept by the hearth. Every day you pick a small log whose colour matches how the day felt — from a Blaze full of flame to a Cold ash — and, if you like, add a single line about the day. Over time your hearth fills with the kept days, log by log.

HEARTH (home)
The home screen opens onto a vertical "thermometer" of seven log levels — from Blaze at the top down to Cold at the bottom. Tap the level that fits today, the chosen log grows brighter and the others fade back. Add a line in the note field, press the big amber button, and the log is in. A streak ribbon names how many consecutive days the fire has been kept. A small hamburger in the top-right opens the Ashes (settings) screen, and a slim three-button bar at the bottom switches between HEARTH, EMBERS, and ASHES.

EMBERS (calendar)
The Embers is the heart of the app: a full month laid out as a hearth of logs. Each logged day is a soft pill in its fire-state colour with the emoji on it. Flip through the months and watch each one fill in. Below the calendar, a small breakdown shows how the month's logs fell, one bar per warmth. Tap any day to open or edit it.

THE DAY (per-day detail)
Every day has its own page. A large log shows how it felt, with the note beneath it. Step a day forward or back, change the log, edit the note, or sweep the log out entirely. Past days are always editable, so a missed one is easy to add later.

ASHES (trends & settings)
The Ashes gathers the numbers: your current streak, longest streak kept, total logs burned, and your average warmth. A fourteen-day strip shows the recent run at a glance — taller, warmer bars are brighter days, gaps are days you skipped — and a card names your most common fire so far. The same screen holds your preferences: haptic feedback, the charcoal-dusk or warm-cream palette, and whether the week starts on Monday.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
All entries are encrypted on your device with AES, using a key stored in the Android Keystore. The released app has no INTERNET permission at all — it physically cannot send anything anywhere. There is no account, no cloud, no sync, no notifications, and nothing is ever transmitted.

Kindling starts with a little recent history seeded in so the hearth is never empty, and you can sweep everything away and start fresh at any time. It does not gamify, nag, or guilt. It simply asks one honest question a day, and burns the colour of it.

One log a day.
