In this post, I am going to show you how to install Rewind: Notification History on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen

PERMISSIONS, IN PLAIN ENGLISH

Rewind asks for notification access, the system grant that lets a notification utility see what is on your shade. It also asks for permission to post its own notifications for the digest, recap, and snooze redeliveries.

Reading your starred contacts is opt-in: Rewind only requests this permission the first time you tap "Pick from starred contacts" inside the rule editor, and only to build a local match condition. The names never leave your device. If you skip the picker, the permission is never requested.

Rewind does not request location, microphone, camera, photos, files, calendar, SMS, or your call log.


PRIVACY AS THE FOUNDATION, NOT A FEATURE

Notification content is one of the most personal data streams on your phone. Banking, dating apps, work, family. Rewind is built so that data physically cannot leave your device through Rewind. No servers exist. No analytics SDKs are bundled. No advertising IDs are read. No background sync runs.
