eMESA (Electronic Maltese-English Speech Assessment) is an innovative digital platform designed to support the assessment of children’s speech in Maltese and English. The app digitises a scientifically validated speech assessment used by speech-language pathologists and transforms it into an interactive, child-friendly experience. By automatically analysing children’s responses and generating results within minutes, eMESA reduces the time required for manual scoring while improving accuracy and helping clinicians reach faster, evidence-based diagnoses.

Ultimately, the system aims to support earlier intervention and better outcomes for children with speech sound difficulties.
