Introducing Apt Weather 2.0. This fully native, lightweight, and fast Android app is designed as a weather journal. We prioritize data reliability and transparency, without unnecessary frills.

A FORECAST THAT COMES TO ACCOUNT

This is the foundation of our brand. We believe that a weather forecast must be reliable and its quality verifiable. That's why every morning we compare yesterday's forecast with actual measurements from the IMWM station and publish the result for each of the 396 cities in Poland. The app also provides a summary of accuracy for the last 90 days: mean forecast error, percentage of hours with temperatures within ±1°C and ±2°C (verified against the ERA5 model), and the national average.

Our forecast is a consensus calculated from the consensus of a team of 12 leading numerical models (including ECMWF, GFS, ICON, UKMO) and an AI model (ECMWF AIFS).

WEATHER DIARY FOR YOUR CITY

The main forecast screen provides a wealth of information for the coming hours and days. In addition to a large current temperature reading, we present key parameters: wind gusts, atmospheric pressure with trend, wind chill, and the chance of precipitation. Every morning, we also publish a "city reading"—a short, factual description of the day written in natural Polish.

A clear hourly carousel, supplemented by a bar graph of wind gusts, presents a detailed weather forecast for the next 48 hours. Next to it is a handy summary of parameters for today and tomorrow, as well as a separate section with accuracy scores for the selected location.

COUNTRY OVERVIEW

The "Country" screen offers a comprehensive perspective. Here you'll find a map of Poland with forecasts for 18 voivodeship capitals, collective IMWM weather warnings for storms, gales, and heatwaves (levels 1-3), and an animated precipitation radar for the entire country. We also publish daily "daily highlights," a list of weather extremes and the most interesting temperature changes, as well as a nationwide summary of yesterday's forecast.

PRIVACY AND TRANSPARENCY

Using the app does not require creating an account or sharing data. We do not profile users. All weather data is downloaded from our website trafnapogoda.pl.

IN THE UPCOMING RELEASE

Notification settings for the morning forecast (at a selected time) and IMWM alerts are now available in the app. We will launch their delivery in the next release.
