IMPORTANT NOTICE: Sismos Venezuela is an UNOFFICIAL information service and does NOT replace FUNVISIS, Civil Protection, or any other authority. It is not an early warning system: alerts are sent AFTER an earthquake has been recorded and published by the sources (usually seconds or minutes after the event). In case of an earthquake, always follow the instructions of the authorities.

Sismos Venezuela alerts you in seconds when an earthquake is recorded in Venezuela.

The app combines three seismic sources—FUNVISIS, USGS, and EMSC—and sends you the alert as soon as any of them publishes the event. This way, you receive the alert as soon as possible, without waiting for all sources to coincide.

OFFICIAL DATA SOURCES
All seismic information comes from the following official sources:
- FUNVISIS (Venezuelan Foundation for Seismological Research): http://www.funvisis.gob.ve
- USGS (United States Geological Survey): https://earthquake.usgs.gov
- EMSC (Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Centre): https://www.emsc-csem.org
This app does NOT represent any of these institutions or any government entity. It is a private and independent project of IT-Service Börner (Germany).

ALARM YOU CAN HEAR
The alert sounds at full volume with an emergency tone, vibrates, and displays a full-screen notification on the locked screen, even if your phone is on silent or in "Do Not Disturb" mode (with the corresponding permissions, which the app guides you to activate). The alarm continues until you acknowledge it.

CONFIGURE YOUR ALERTS
- Minimum magnitude: Receive only the earthquakes that matter to you (for example, M4.5 and above)
- Area: The entire country or a radius around a point you choose
- Language: Spanish, German, or English

SENSOR NETWORK
Your phone can participate as a seismic sensor: While stationary (for example, charging on your nightstand), the accelerometer helps detect tremors along with thousands of other devices. Participation is voluntary and can be deactivated at any time.

ADDITIONAL CHANNELS
In addition to notifications on your phone, you can receive alerts via Telegram or SMS.

PRIVACY
You manually choose the area. There is no advertising or data being sold. You can unsubscribe at any time with a single button.

LIMITATIONS
Notifications may be delayed, contain errors, or not arrive due to network, server, or device issues. Service availability is not guaranteed.
