BoltReporter is the Android companion app for Bolt.

It is used to report your device location to your Bolt account during severe weather field activity. BoltReporter is intended for SKYWARN spotters, storm chasers, weather observers, and other users who need live field position reporting.

BoltReporter is not a standalone weather radar app, public alert app, or general mapping app. It works with Bolt, where your reported position can be viewed, managed, and used with Bolt's live map and field history features.

Bolt also supports reporting to SpotterNetwork when configured by the user. This allows BoltReporter to be part of a Bolt-based field reporting setup while still supporting SpotterNetwork location reporting.

Features include:

Start and stop location reporting from your phone
Send your current device location to Bolt
Continue reporting while using other apps
Support background location reporting while reporting is active
Use Bolt for live field position updates and field history
Use Bolt's SpotterNetwork reporting support when configured

BoltReporter only reports location while you choose to report. You can stop reporting from the app when your field activity is finished.

When reporting is active, BoltReporter may continue sending location updates after you leave or close the app. A notification is shown while reporting is active, and reporting continues until you stop it from the app.

BoltReporter is not affiliated with the National Weather Service, SKYWARN, or SpotterNetwork.
