Loci is a creative instrument for making breathtaking generative math art on a touchscreen. Instead of editing endless numbers, you shape beautiful mathematical forms directly on the canvas. Drag arrows, add bends, explore color, and watch intricate structures grow beneath your fingertips in real time.

Inspired by the legendary fractal-flame program Apophysis, Loci rebuilds the experience from the ground up for touch screens. The mathematics are just as deep, but the interface is built around human intuition instead of technical controls. Whether you've never heard of a fractal or have been creating them for years, you'll feel at home.

At its heart, every image begins as a single point wandering across the canvas, guided by the layers you apply, through a mathematical layers that push it around. Each movement leaves behind a tiny colored trace. Millions of these journeys accumulate into extraordinary structures—flowers, nebulae, coral reefs, impossible creatures, and patterns that seem almost alive.

CREATE

• Sculpt with intuitive on-screen Moves—drag, rotate, scale, and bend them with your fingers.
• Watch your artwork render live as every pass reveals more hidden detail.
• Build your own color palettes, add rotational symmetry, and finish your artwork with powerful Lens transforms.

SHARE

• Export beautiful high-resolution artwork.
• Render perfectly sized images for Instagram.
• Export time-lapse videos showing your artwork emerge from nothing.
• Set your creations as wallpapers.
• Share complete .loci project files so others can open, explore, and remix your work.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Loci never needs an internet connection. No ads, No tracking, No accounts, No sign-up. Everything you create stays on your device unless you decide to share it.
What's new:
• Animate — export a GIF or MP4 as parameters change (rotation, position, weight, size, direction and more). Up to 7 changes per clip. Render → Animate.
• New elliptic bend; Elliptic Flower and Elliptic Bloom presets; adjustable split x/y
• Exit returns to menu; step values remembered; easier palette edge picks
• Bend guide descriptions; tap a bend again to close its panel
• Longer, smoother time-lapse videos
• Fixes: See-how on flow pieces; animation sharing
