Pangée brings together major French public geoscience databases on a single map: geological maps, groundwater, boreholes, soils, contaminated sites, and contaminated soils.

Where you previously had to consult a dozen different websites, the answer is now available in a single click.

A map that provides answers
Interact with the map: a data sheet gathers information from each active layer at that location, whether it's a description of a geological formation, a fact sheet on an industrial facility, or a water quality measurement. The layers are not just simple images: their data can be viewed, expanded, and compared, tab by tab.

Your own data
Add your field points with notes and coordinates, organize them into folders, and import or export your GIS files (GeoJSON, GPX, KML, Shapefile) to overlay them with the layers or share them.

Compiled Data
- BRGM geological maps and structural measurements
- Boreholes and soundings from the Subsurface Database (BSS)
- Hydrogeological entities (BDLISA) and groundwater bodies
- Piezometers and level records, groundwater quality, water sampling
- Contaminated sites and soils, classified facilities, PFAS contamination
- Underground cavities, ground movements, radon, rising groundwater levels
- Soil science, land use, historical aerial photographs, HD LiDAR relief, Forest Database...
More than 50 layers in total!

Designed for field use
- Geolocation with heading, altitude (IGN RGE ALTI) and GPS accuracy
- Search for a location or coordinates
- Various map layers: IGN map, aerial photo, relief
- Favorite layers and on-the-fly reordering
- No account, no ads
