YaniSpot is a user-participatory smoking area map that allows users to find smoking areas and smoking-permitted establishments on a map and in a list format.

You can search for spots not only around your current location but also in areas you move the map to. You can check the address, estimated opening hours, entrance and directions, facilities, and usage conditions such as whether it's free or requires a store purchase. You can also save places you're interested in as favorites.

YaniSpot's unique feature is that it not only lists smoking areas but also clearly shows whether they've actually been usable recently. Users can vote for each spot as "usable!" or "not usable," and the display changes based on the number of votes in the last 60 days and the percentage of those votes indicating "usable." Places with a high percentage of usable spots are displayed with a checkmark as "Recently reported usable," places with few votes or divided opinions are marked as "Needs verification," and places with a high percentage of unusable spots are marked as "Many reports of unusable spots." Older votes are excluded from the evaluation, ensuring that information is not easily neglected and making it easy to check the current situation.

You can search for public smoking areas and smoking-permitted establishments separately, and also check features such as indoor/outdoor, covered, with benches, heated tobacco compatible, and traditional cigarette compatible. Icons change on the map depending on the status, making it easy to narrow down your options even when you're in a hurry.

If a nearby smoking area isn't yet registered, you can submit a new spot. Sharing the address, opening hours, entrance hints, usage conditions, and facilities will help others looking for that location. If the information has changed, you can notify others through suggested corrections, comments, or reports.

The information and usage reports posted may not reflect the most up-to-date situation at the location. Please refrain from vandalism or misuse, as this causes inconvenience to everyone.
