Not an app to monitor your child. A thread to keep an eye on them, without squeezing their wrist.

Filo reads your teenager's digital habits (8-16 years old) and translates them into a concrete conversation to have with them. We never read the content of messages, photos/videos, or searches. We only see the signals.

Many Italian parents hand over their smartphones early, and then seek support. There are two traditional approaches: cold parental controls that show graphs without explaining them, or psychological counseling, which is useful but designed for when the situation is already serious.

Filo is designed for the middle ground. Between "all good" and "crisis" lies the rest of a teenager's life.

How it works

1) Observe. On your child's phone, a small module looks at app categories, times, durations, and unlocks. Never content. Never messages. Never photos/videos.

2) Aggregate. Every night, only statistical numbers are sent to our servers in Europe. Never use raw phone data.

3) Translate. Our AI has four strict constraints: never use diagnostic terms, never use alarmist tones, never use numbers without context, never give generic advice.

4) Delivery. A report per week, or when needed, in three sections:
- What has changed this period
- A possible reading, always with an equally plausible alternative
- A concrete conversation to try: what to say, when, what to avoid

Real-world examples of what Filo reads

- Sleep slips: first unlock from 7:15 to 8:42, 11 nights out of 30 with check-ins between 1 and 5. The conversation: ask him how he sleeps, don't talk about his phone.

- The new invisible category: 3 new apps in a sensitive category and evening time up 22%. The conversation: ask how school is going with classmates.

- Time spent on school supplies down 65%, entertainment up 75%. The conversation: one chat will tell.

- The change in group: new messaging apps emerge while the main one declines. The conversation: it's not a decline in sociability, it's a shift.

- The combined pattern: disturbed sleep, nighttime use, withdrawal from chats together. The conversation: it's not a diagnosis, it's a way of saying that these three things are worth a calm conversation.

You know things Filo doesn't see

Filo reads your phone. He doesn't read life. That's why we ask you to write quick notes in your private diary: things you've noticed, important events, worries. Our artificial intelligence separates facts from interpretations and uses them to tailor the reports to your specific family. From the third report onward, Filo knows your child in a way no generic app could reconstruct.

Three levels of attention

Mild signal: in the weekly report as "things to watch."
Moderate signal: flagged in the weekly report with specific suggestions.
High signal: notification within a few hours with recommended professional support options.

Thread. It unites. From afar.
