Can I fly at my field today?

CanFly answers that one question. Instead of a generic weather report, it knows
your airfield (coordinates and runway orientation) and your personal limits (max
mean wind, gust and crosswind), and condenses the hourly forecast into a green /
yellow / red light per time slot — morning, midday and afternoon — for the days
ahead.

Built for ultralight (ULM/microlight) and recreational PPL pilots who want to
decide at a glance whether it's worth heading to the field.

HOW IT WORKS
• Computes crosswind and headwind for each runway and picks the most favourable.
• Checks every hour against YOUR limits: mean wind, gust, crosswind and the
gust−mean spread, plus visibility and low cloud.
• Green = within your margins · Yellow = at the limit or uncertain · Red = beyond
limits. One tap shows the hour-by-hour detail and which rule drives the colour.

INCLUDES
• Worldwide airfield database (OurAirports): search by name and auto-fill runway,
elevation and frequencies.
• Hourly detail with wind, gust, computed crosswind, cloud, precipitation and
visibility.
• Daylight times (sunrise/sunset and twilight) and a "best window" to fly.
• Density-altitude performance read-out.
• Airfield-to-airfield route/cross-country planner with estimated time per leg.
• Alerts and a home-screen widget.
• Flight logbook that calibrates your limits from your real-world experience.
• Three visual themes, English and Spanish, configurable units (kt/km·h/m·s, °C/°F,
km/miles).
• Works offline with the last downloaded forecast.

PRIVACY
No accounts, no ads, no tracking. Everything is stored on your device. The app
does not access your phone's location; it only sends the coordinates of the
airfield you choose to fetch the forecast.

IMPORTANT
CanFly is an advisory aid based on general forecasts and does NOT replace the
official preflight briefing, METAR/TAF, NOTAMs or your own judgement. The final
decision and responsibility always rest with the pilot in command.
