Discover the city by walking.

Machimegu (City Tour) is a city walking app where you check in at stations and collect "station cards."

It supports 8,765 stations across all 47 prefectures of Japan. Whether in urban or rural areas, your local area becomes the stage.

■ Discover the city's richness through scores

When you check in, you receive a station card with the station's "City Power Score" recorded.

The score is calculated from data on restaurants, commercial facilities, daily life facilities, and medical facilities around the station.

The S/A/B/C/D ranks give you a clear overview of the city's characteristics.

What is the score of the city you live in?

How is it different from the next station?

What is that city you've been curious about really like?

The more you walk and explore, the more your perspective on the city changes.

■ Only those who actually visit can obtain these cards

Check-ins are completed by staying within a 500m radius of a station for 5 minutes.

Simply passing through on a train won't record your visit.

It might be a roundabout route.

But our goal with this app is to record only the fact that you "visited that town."

Therefore, station cards serve as proof that you actually walked there.

■ The Joy of Collecting

・Station Cards: Visited stations accumulate as a collection.

・Rare Cards: A lottery is held each time you check in. You might get a special card.

・Route Conquest: A record of achievement is saved when you collect all the stations on the same route.

・Badges: Earn badges based on your walking route, such as area conquest or number of visits.

・Daily Missions: Small goals are created for your daily walks.

・Favorite Towns: Register your favorite towns and cultivate your own map.

■ Every 8,765 Station Has a Story

Every station includes a unique introductory comment about that town.

For example, Okayama Station: "A meeting plaza where the Momotaro statue awaits."

Nukanan Station: "A secluded station with a waiting room that looks like a storage shed."

Famous stations and small stations you've never visited are all given equal detail. You'll want to visit towns you've never heard of.

■ For those considering moving or opening a business

The town score evaluates towns from four perspectives directly related to daily life: food and drink, commerce, lifestyle, and healthcare.

You can see the characteristics of a town, such as "This town has many lifestyle facilities, but few restaurants," in numbers.

When considering where to move.

When looking for a place to open a shop.

You can compare towns by actually walking around and seeing them with your own eyes.

■ Recommended for:

・Those who enjoy walking and exploring towns

・Those who enjoy trains and visiting stations

・Those who enjoy collecting cards and badges

・Those who want to know the level of amenities in a town to use as a reference when moving or opening a business

・Those who want a reason to get out and about

■ About the display

The design prioritizes font size and contrast.

We aimed for ease of use even for those unfamiliar with smartphone operation.
