SEMO is a video diary that stacks one scene a day and turns it into a single film. Fifteen seconds a day is enough.


■ One shot a day is all it takes

1. Capture today. A single photo works, or a clip of up to 15 seconds.
2. The app files it away in date order for you.
3. When you are ready, one button turns it all into one video.

There are no cuts to trim, no timeline to line up. Fifteen seconds a day becomes seven minutes in a month, and ninety minutes in a year.


■ The app does the editing

Video editors are powerful, and demanding. SEMO went the other way. It joins your saved scenes in order, lays music underneath, adds the date and a single line of text, and exports the result as an MP4. The finished video lands in your gallery, ready to share.

Anything you do want to shape by hand is still yours to shape. Trim a section, write a caption, rotate the frame, adjust the volume, change the playback speed — as much or as little as you like.


■ Your record stays on your phone

There is no sign-up. No login, no server upload. Every video, photo, and line of text you record stays on your device. This is an app for faces of children and the ordinary days of a family, so it was built that way from the start.

When you change phones, or simply want to be careful, you can create a backup file and move it yourself. Backups can be password-protected, and the app can quietly make one for you once a day.
