Beatscale is a local-first toolbox for unit conversion, PDF and document tools, OCR, image editing, backup and restore, dates, colors and network checks.

Your conversion inputs, scans, PDFs, images and recognized text are processed on your device. Beatscale does not upload that content to provide these tools.

Unit converters for everyday and technical work

Convert more than 1,000 units in 70+ categories including length, mass, temperature, volume, cooking, digital storage, data rates, science, engineering and clothing sizes. Use metric and imperial units, choose decimal precision, and see formulas and calculation steps.

Search by unit or category, save favorite pairs and reopen recent work through history. Conversion math runs locally and works offline.

PDF scanner and document tools

Scan documents with your camera and save them as PDF or JPG files. Add or import pages, crop, rotate, filter, reorder and review them before export. Quality checks can flag blur, low contrast or low resolution.

Create PDFs from photos with page size, orientation, margin, placement and alignment controls. Compress scanned PDFs, export pages as JPG or PNG, and add page numbers by position, style and starting page.

For larger jobs, disk-backed streaming processes one PDF page at a time instead of holding the full document in memory. This reduces memory spikes, writes output directly to a file and lets safe limits adapt to available storage. Compression and page numbering rebuild pages as images, so links, forms, annotations, signatures and selectable text are not preserved.

OCR text scanner

Extract text from photos, camera captures, document scans or PDFs. Multi-page OCR reads one PDF page at a time and can detect links, email addresses, phone numbers and measurements. Scan to Text also reads QR codes. Copy the text or save it as a TXT file. Review important text before using it.

Image editor and photo tools

Crop and rotate images, apply filters, adjust brightness and contrast, draw, erase, highlight, add text and shapes, use layers and resize the canvas. Supported devices can work with square images up to 4096 x 4096.

Date, color and network tools

Calculate date differences and age, or add and subtract years, months, weeks and days. Use the camera as a color picker and copy HEX, RGB, RGBA, HSL, HSV or CMYK values.

Run a user-started ping and latency check for response time, stability and missed replies. A labelled connection-timing check is used when ping is unavailable. Network Health does not measure download speed, upload speed or Wi-Fi signal.

Local backup and restore

Export a ZIP backup with favorites, conversion history, preferences, theme and available files linked from history. You choose where to save it. Restore validates the archive, checks storage and stages files before replacing local app data. Purchases are restored separately through the app store.

Backup ZIP files are not encrypted. Keep them in a private, secure location.

Local-first privacy

Conversion, OCR, document, PDF, image, date and color content stays on your device. Connections are limited to app store and RevenueCat purchase checks, ML Kit diagnostics, managed scanner setup, optional crash reports and Network Health tests you start.

Crash reporting is off by default. Beatscale requires no account and includes no advertising SDK or Firebase Analytics.

One-time Premium purchase

Preview every workflow before buying. One lifetime Premium purchase unlocks full results, every category, all document, PDF, image and OCR tools, save and share actions, unlimited favorites and full history. There is no subscription and no advertising. Backup and restore are available in Settings.

Limits may adjust to device capacity.
