Tare — Understand Why Your Habits Stick or Slip
Most habit trackers tell you what you did. Tare tells you why.
Every time you skip a workout, reach for your phone, or miss a journaling session, there's a pattern underneath — a trigger, a friction point, a context you keep overlooking. Tare surfaces those patterns using AI so you can actually change them, not just log them.
---
How It Works
Check in after any habit — good or bad — in plain language. No rigid forms. Just tell Tare what happened, how you were feeling, where you were, who you were with. The AI extracts structured context from your words, tracking dozens of signals across time, location, social environment, mental state, and emotional friction.
Over time, Tare builds a behavioral model specific to you. It detects correlations you wouldn't spot yourself: you skip runs when you sleep less than 6 hours, you journaled every day you worked from home, your meditation streak always breaks in social weeks. These aren't generic tips — they're your patterns.
---
Features
AI Check-In Analysis
Log check-ins in your own words. Tare's AI extracts context tags, mood signals, and friction markers — no checkboxes, no gamification pressure.
Trigger Insights
Discover which contexts predict success or failure for each habit. Minimum 5 data points before any insight is surfaced — Tare doesn't guess.
Weekly Synthesis
Every week, a narrative summary of your behavioral patterns. Not a streak count. An actual story of what happened, what worked, and what to try next.
Habit Cascade Analysis
See how your habits interact. When one habit slips, does it drag others down? Tare maps cross-habit correlations so you can find your anchor habits — the ones that stabilize everything else.
Friction Audits
Identify the specific barriers blocking each habit. Tare suggests micro-changes: small, concrete adjustments to your environment, timing, or routine that reduce friction at the source.
Predictive Nudges
Tare learns your slip patterns and sends timely nudges before you're likely to miss — not random reminders, but context-aware prompts based on your behavioral history.
Reflective Diary
A free-form space to write alongside your habits. Semantic search lets you find past entries by meaning, not just keywords.
---
Design Philosophy
Tare is built for reflection, not performance. No streaks to break, no badges to earn, no social leaderboards. The design is intentionally calm — earthy tones, editorial typography, unhurried pacing. Habit change is slow work. Tare respects that.
Privacy is a first principle. Check-ins are stored with end-to-end encryption. You own your data. Anonymous use is supported from day one — no account required to start.
---
Free vs Pro
Free: Track 1 habit with full AI check-in analysis, trigger insights, and weekly synthesis.
Pro: Track up to 3 habits, unlock habit cascade analysis, friction audits, predictive nudging, and the reflective diary with semantic search.
---
Who Tare Is For
- People who've tried habit trackers and found them shallow
- Anyone who wants to understand behavior, not just count it
- Coaches and therapists who want a reflective tool for clients
- Builders, writers, athletes — anyone running deliberate self-improvement experiments

Tare isn't a streak app. It's a behavioral mirror.
