Step By Step Guide To Install AirWatch HTC Service using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen

AirWatch introduces an enterprise-grade service application for HTC Pro devices. This application is a “plug-in” application that should only be installed and used in combination with enrollment of the AirWatch MDM Agent. It allows for additional MDM capabilities described below that only pertain to HTC Pro devices.

Depending on the AirWatch MDM console version you are using, please follow these steps to deploy to your HTC device:
If using a 6.1 console or older:
1. You must first download, install, open and activate the HTC Service
2. Then, download install the AirWatch MDM Agent available in the Google Play
3. You may now enroll like normal and the HTC Pro features will be activated

If using a 6.1 SP1 console or greater:
1. You must download, install the AirWatch MDM Agent available in the Google Play
2. You may now enroll like normal and the HTC Service will be pushed to your device during enrollment

HTC Pro Devices
HTC Pro devices are enterprise ready with enhanced security and management capabilities. They include any HTC device running HTC’s Sense 4.0 operating system. MDM Features include:
1. Native Mail Client Configuration for EAS
2. Wi-Fi Network Setup
3. VPN Network Setup
4. Certificate Management
Note: These devices also support 3LM enterprise management capabilities as well.
