Founded in 29/06/1992 being its main studio operating in av. Major Fidêncio Cangussú 304, the transmitter installed in the farm Bom Sucesso in the region of cedar. Aiming to bring listeners the northern region of mines, music, joy, information and entertainment, with a professional team of broadcasters, innovating regional expression due to a presentation of the programs by the speakers with more joy and dynamism.
From the year 2001 the station has to have its own headquarters, new team and new equipment of last generation with digital technology, music programming became popular with the direct participation of the listener by phone or letter, this new program came to facilitate direct contact with the listener's radio station making the largest audience in the northern region of the state of Minas Gerais.
The station from 2005 to 2007 invested heavily in new digital equipment available in the telecommunications market, it is noteworthy that the Independent Radio 93.7 FM is the only FM recorded in the ministry of communications and anatel why she is the only official and legal FM Radio in Porteirinha.
