This app lets you get the latest polls-based statistical prediction of who will win the United States Presidential election straight from Nate Silver's fivethirtyeight.com!

NOTE: Election has passed, this app now shows only the FINAL PROJECTION that was provided by fivethirtyeight.com before the election occurred. Check elsewhere for election results.

PLEASE NOTE: The numbers reported in this app are the predicted likelihood of winning. While that likelihood is based on poll data, the numbers you see are NOT poll results. Even a small difference in polls can result in large advantage for a candidate - that's why pundits obsess over a difference of only a few percentage points in the polls - they indicate a strong likelihood that the candidate will win.

This is the free version which contains ads. Purchase the PRO version for an ad-free experience.

Nate Silver's prediction method is based on polling data from sources all around the nation as well as weighting factors such as the current state the economy and other factors that have been known to correlate with election outcomes in the past. He gained notoriety after calling the outcome in 49 out 50 states in the 2008 election, and 50 out of 50 states in the 2012 election. See if he does it again this time around!

View the statistics in the app, or place a widget on your home screen for at-a-glance updates.

If you want more detail regarding the predictions, including news and analysis, then press the button at the bottom of the app. It will take you straight to the 2016 election prediction webpage on fivethirtyeight.com.

If there is sufficient interest in this type of app, then I will develop additional features, such as customizable notifications that issue when new stats are available or if one candidate's chances exceed a threshold. Please let me know in the reviews what features you would like to see!

Enjoy!
