In this post, I am going to show you how to install iTAP Data Offload App on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Step By Step Guide To Install iTAP Data Offload App using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen
  3. Once installed, click "iTAP Data Offload App" icon on the home screen to start using, it'll work like a charm :D

[Note 2] about Bluetooth: At the moment, support for Bluetooth is not available on BlueStacks. Hence, apps that require control of Bluetooth may not work on BlueStacks.

This iTAP Data Offload App will help to turn your mobile device into a “HotSpot”. This will help heavy trailers fitted with iTAP hardware from Knorr-Bremse to offload iTAP data to the server. The App provides the flexibility to check if there is data to be offloaded from the iTAP and then will prompt the user to enter the credential he/she would like to use for the hotspot.

The user should be aware that by enabling the “Hotspot” feature using the iTAP DataOffload App, he/she accepts that their mobile data will be consumed by iTAP for offloading iTAP data to the server and that this may incur additional charges when roaming.

During the functioning of the iTAP Data Offload App, the App will check if there is data to be offloaded from the iTAP to the server and will prompt the user to enter the credentials used for creating the hotspot, if there is data to be offloaded. The amount of mobile data plan that is used by the iTAP to offload depends on the amount of data that has to be offloaded to the server.

Requirements:
- Knorr-Bremse iTAP hardware.
- Wireless Local Area Network Connection (WLAN or Wi-Fi) to the iTAP.
- Android 4.1 or higher.


Privacy Policy:

The App does not collect or externally transfer personal data stored on your Mobile Device.
The App performs a connection via Wi-Fi to the iTAP hardware for the purpose of checking the amount of iTAP data to be offloaded.
The App will use the credentials entered by the user to turn the Mobile device into a “Hotspot” which the iTAP may use to offload data to the server.
