Huraian Hadith:
Rumah adalah sebahagian daripada kesempurnaan nikmat pemberian Allah SWT kepada manusia. Rumah menjadi tempat tinggal, tempat berehat dan banyak lagi manfaat lain yang boleh diperoleh daripadanya. Itulah yang dikatakan Ibnu Katsir ketika mentafsirkan surat An Nahl ayat 80 Dan Allah menjadikan bagi mu rumah-rumah mu sebagai tempat tinggal. Justeru mereka yang dikurniakan kemampuan memiliki rumah sendiri tidak kira besar mahupun kecil perlu mensyukurinya.
Islam mengajarkan kita tata cara tertentu dalam mendirikan rumah atau menduduki rumah baru iaitu membanyakkan membaca surat Al Baqarah dari ayat pertama sehingga ayat terakhir. Rasulullah SAW pernah bersabda yang maksudnya: Bacalah surat al- Baqarah di rumah kalian, kerana sesungguhnya syaitan itu tidak akan memasuki sesebuah rumah yang di dalamnya dibacakan surat al-Baqarah Surah al-Baqarah menceritakan asal usul kejadian manusia, serta asal usul kemurkaan Allah kepada syaitan. Hakikat inilah yang melemahkan syaitan apabila kita membaca surah tersebut. Ia mendedahkan kelemahan mereka dan kehormatan kita yang dilantik oleh Allah SWT sebagai khalifah di dunia. Dengan membacakan surah al-Baqarah suasana rumah akan menjadi lebih tenang dan akan dijauhi daripada gangguan syaitan. Jangan pula ketika memasuki rumah baru kita membawa masuk segala perkara baru yang bercanggah dengan agama seperti mengamalkan perkara khurafat dan ritual-ritual seperti memanggil dukun dan paranormal agar rumah terhindar daripada gangguan syaitan atau perkara-perkara ghaib. Semua ini jelas merupakan perbuatan syirik dan mengundang kemurkaan Allah! Ketika di rumah sama ada rumah baru atau yang sudah lama didiami jangan sekali-kali kita melakukan perkara-perkara yang boleh mengundang syaitan untuk masuk dan tinggal di dalamnya seperti membawa masuk perkara-perkara haram dan maksiat, menyimpan patung berhala dan sebagainya. Mahukah kita mendiami rumah bersama-sama syaitan? Ketahuilah bahawa syaitan sekali-kali tidak akan pernah berhenti berusaha untuk memasuki rumah orang-orang yang beriman dengan tujuan untuk menyesatkannya.
