About Macapat Paramayoga Sasraningrat

A presentation of Javanese Macapat from ancient fiber Paramayoga Sasraningrat. Macapat Paramayoga Sasraningrat is presented in high quality audio so that the magical nuances of Javanese poems can be fully enjoyed. Equipped with Javanese text (transcript) and adapted stories in Indonesian so that they can better understand the messages that Paramayoga Sasraningrat's story is about to convey.

This Paramayoga Sasraningrat tells about the Prophet Adam and Eve when violating God's commandment so that it was sent down to earth, then gave birth to a pair of sons and daughters for five times. Each son is paired (dhampit), at the time of birth one face is capable at the other time the face is bad. His bad sons and daughters were matched with handsome ones, and finally they began to breed to their descendants, the gods.

Macapat is a traditional Javanese song or poem. Each macapat stanza has a sentence line called gatra, and each gatra has a certain number of syllables (teacher numbers), and ends in the sound of the final poem called the song teacher.

The Javanese are the largest ethnic group in Indonesia, originating from Central Java, East Java, the Special Region of Yogyakarta, the Indramayu Regency (West Java), and the Serang – Cilegon Regency / City (Banten). In 2010, at least 40.22% of Indonesia's population was Javanese.
