Perth (WA) to Broome has been developed as a digital companion for visitors to Western Australia (W.A) that wish to self-drive and explore our magnificent North Western Coastline. The app provides a plotted GPS coastal route along Western Australian coastal highways - through Broome and the Kimberley Region to the town of Wyndham (the oldest and most northerly town in the Kimberley). The route includes top WA tourism destinations and spectacular sights along the way.

The Indian Ocean Drive, Brand Highway and North West Coastal Highway takes in a magnificent coastal route (Perth-Broome) of 2,363 kilometres in length. The route starts from the City of Perth - to the northern metropolitan City of Wanneroo - and on to the coastal township of Lancelin leading into the - Coral Coast. The route continues into the vast - Pilbara Region - and thereafter to Broome and the incredible Kimberley Region.

The App provides real time (RSS) Road Alerts & Warnings along the journey.
Traffic alerts are received from WA Main Roads, Bushfire and Flood Warnings from the Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES), information on Park closures from Parks and Wildlife, plus severe Marine, Land and Weather warnings. There is also a 7 day weather forecast from the Bureau of Meteorology for each of the many Towns on the route as the climate changes south / north. To ensure you can plan your fuel stops (and calculate the cost), there is a direct link with the government website Fuel Watch. Fuel prices are updated daily.

For ease of use, the main population centres along this northern coastal route are named and numbered (after leaving Wanneroo and Yanchep) starting at number 1. (Lancelin) 130 kms from Perth and continue on to the final town on this Coastal route - number 21 (Wyndham). A total distance of 3210 kms.

There are various guides and handbooks included in the app i.e a Bush Survival (120 pages) and First Aid Handbook (115 pages). There is also Fishing information, Videos, PDF Maps, Gibb River Road, driver safety information etc.

The travel destinations seen on the App have been divided into three regions and show progressive distances from Perth to the North of WA following the coast. On the main screen of the App you will find: 1. Coral Coast (closest to Perth), 2. Pilbara and 3. Broome and the Kimberley (far North).

The Towns along the WA coast in order of travel from the City of Perth are: Lancelin, Cervantes, Dongara,Port Denison, Greenough, City of Geraldton, Kalbarri, Denham (Shark Bay) , Monkey Mia, Carnarvon, Ningaloo Marine Park, Coral Bay, Exmouth, Port Hedland, Karratha, Broome, Derby, Fitzroy Crossing, Halls Creek, Kununurra, Wyndham. All "Visitor Centres" on the route are located with GPS directions.
