PADI (Preconception and Diabetes Information) is an app to provide important health information for all women with diabetes and a handy way to track blood glucose
levels.

PADI supports women to optimise their health before and in early pregnancy. It will help women planning to have a baby get ready for their pregnancy and reduce the risk
of complications. For those who are not planning to have a baby right now, it has important information about women’s health that they need to know. PADI provides women with the knowledge to take control of their health and encourages actions that increase the likelihood of a healthy pregnancy and baby, should they decide to conceive. PADI was developed by researchers at the University of Surrey in collaboration with healthcare professionals and women with diabetes.

Here’s what to love about PADI:

Straightforward and comprehensive preconception information in the palm of your hands.

Simple to read information pages with links to external web pages and videos that you can access for more information.

Combination of preconception information with blood glucose monitoring function.

Useful components include:

‘Planning for Pregnancy’ where you can view information regarding how to prepare for pregnancy or delay pregnancy until you are ready.

‘Blood glucose diary’ where you can enter and keep track of your blood glucose readings.

‘Progress’ where you can view your average blood glucose readings both in a list and on a graph. PADI displays your average blood glucose readings for today, the past 7 days and
the past 30 days. You can choose how you would like to view your readings.

‘Reminders’ where you can choose a specific time to be reminded to take your blood glucose
reading. You will be sent a notification at your set reminder times.

‘About’ introduces you to PADI and gives you more information about the researchers
behind its development. It also contains their email addresses should you want to send feedback or suggest changes to the app.

‘Share this app’ allows you to share PADI with others via your installed applications such
as Email, Text, Twitter, Facebook, Whatsapp, *** or Skype.

Whether you are planning right now or want a baby sometime in the future, PADI would work with
you to ensure you are in the best of health.

We hope you enjoy using PADI.
