Probolinggo is one area that has the beauty and wisdom of local tourism that is still awake. Known by the nickname Banyuangga which is an abbreviation of the word 'slave' and 'antlers'. Bayu describes the wind, Probolinggo known as an area that has high enough wind intensity, especially from July to September. Tine is an abbreviation of the word wine and mango. Probolinggo is also known for having the biggest natural potential as a producer of grapes and mango manalagi famous in East Java. In addition to abundant natural resources, Probolinggo also has tourism potential that is not less beautiful with other regions.
The purpose of the design of the book "Visit Probolinggo" as media and culture with travel information displays detailed information about Probolinggo in the form of verbal and visual communicative.
This design uses qualitative descriptive method of methods Jonathan Sarwono and Hary Lubis. Stages of the design of products originated from formulating the background, set design purposes, to collect the required data, identification and data analysis, synthesis, established the concept design major media and media support, designed to systematically and through a phase of media planning and creative planning, which then produces the final design.
The results of this design is a book that has a title "Visit Probolinggo" discusses illustration based on travel destinations, cultural and culinary in Probolinggo. Travel guide has a size of 20 cm x 20 cm, with the number of pages is 52 pages, binding type of hard cover matte lamination, with a thickness of about 1 cm books. Then there are other forms of media promotions and merchandise. Media campaigns such as posters, x-banner, online media, booklets and leaflets Probolinggo historical heritage. Merchandise such as jackets, hats, tottebag, notes and postcard. Merchandise is intended for tourists who visit tourist place Probolinggo were covered in the book as a souvenir, while the promotional media such as posters, x-banner, online media, booklets historical heritage Probolinggo and leaflets can be used as a medium to promote book tours "Visit Probolinggo" ,
