This app is developed to calculate the Weighted Average, which is a technique used by major educational institutes internationally for their evaluation and grading system.

The logic used in this app is on the presumption that a student has to appear 2 exams in a semester of 50 marks each. The marks obtained as well as the total in the first exam is converted to 20% and for the second exam (end term), it is converted to 80%. This way, total marks per subject in both exams become 50 and passing is 50% (that is 25 marks).

User needs to enter the marks obtained by him/her in the first exam, out of 50. The app calculates and shows the marks required in the end term exam for him/her to pass (assuming that total marks are 50, passing is 50% and weighted average calculation used is 20% in first exam and 80% in end term exam).

Additionally, this app also allows option to select "First Class (60%)" or "Distinction (75%)" if a user aims to secure the same.

This method of weighted average (that is 20% in first exam and 80% in second exam with 50% as the passing criteria) is used by major private management institutes in Mumbai and internationally.
