Do you want a notification when a friend sends you an e-mail but not when you get spam? Then this app is for you!

"Mail Notification Filter" checks your e-mail, and notifies you if the sender matches a configurable filter (a contact on your phone, a starred contact, etc). You may use separate ringtones for contacts and starred contacts.

The app currently supports opening the following e-mail clients from within the notification:
- GMail
- K-9 Mail
- Aqua Mail
- My Secure Mail
- CloudMagic

Please let me know if you want another client added: feedback@zendomobile.com.

A single poll takes about 2-3 seconds and consumes about 4-10 KB bandwidth (depending on number of unread e-mails and your e-mail server speed). Poll frequency is configurable to anywhere from every minute to every 24 hours. It's possible to disable polling when there is no wi-fi.

Please note that your e-mail provider must allow SSL/TLS encryption. This application will not allow you to send username and password in clear text.

Also please note that this is an early version. If you have any suggestions on how to improve the app, please let me know at feedback@zendomobile.com.
