In this post, I am going to show you how to install Around Me - Places (Search) on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Step By Step Guide To Install Around Me - Places (Search) using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. "Around-Me - Places (Search)" application helps you in finding near by places of interest. The type of the place can choose from the left navigation drawer. When the application loads, azure(purplish blue) color marker shows your current location.

Once place type of interest has been chosen, application will reach the server for fetching the information. So, it will be latest data. Markers will be shown on the map if places of interest are available around the marked location.

You can set a place around which you would like to search for places of interest. Long press on the map at any location in order to set the location. Once location has been set, you can search around the new location in the same way above.

Click on the marker to show the location information window. On clicking on the window, Google Maps will be launched to help you in navigating to that location.

There are so many supported place types in the navigation drawer. On launch of the application a tutorial will guide you for using the application. If you would like to go through the tutorial again, go to the help dialog through the menu options and enable to show the tutorial again.

If the search preference is of type ranking/rating, then a FAB icon will be displayed in which vicinity (radius around search location) can be selected. This FAB icon will NOT be displayed in case the search preference is of type distance. Search preference can be selected from menu and choosing menu item "Preferences".

On every search maximum of 20 results will be fetched from server, if more results are available the translucent button with text "More Places" will be shown at the centre bottom of the screen. On clicking this button fetches the next 20 results from the server and so-on till all results are fetched. But maximum displayed results can be 20 only.
