VR Maze is a labyrinth game, which can be played with Virtual reality headsets, such as Google cardboard or Durovis Dive. The player controls himself in ego perspective through a labyrinth and in order to win he must collect a few collectibles before he can exit the labyrinth. However he has to be careful of the computer-driven enemy, if he crosses the eyebeam of the enemy, they begin to follow/catch him. If he gets touched by the enemy, the player loses a life. If all the lives are lost, he has to start the game from level 1 all over again.
Main features
- Controlling the player through the direction he is looking at, a look on ground will pause the movement.
- Selecting the buttons in the menu with raycasting
- Completely randomly ganerated levels.
- 10 different levels with increasing difficulty.
- in the first level there is just one pick-up object and no enemy.
- In level 10 there are more of all the elements.
- A HUD can be seen during the game, if you move your head upwards.
The folowing information can be seen on HUD: current level time, amount of pick-up objects and number of remaining lives.
- If the AI - Enemy, which patrol through the level, see the player, they follow him/her for a specific amount of time.
- The Player has 3 lives. He loses a life if the enemy touches him.
- All pick-ups are placed on their original positions, once the player is touched by an enemy.
- In the first 10 seconds, the player cannot be touched by the enemy.
- Once the player gets touched by the enemy, he is invulnerable.
- Minimap displays a small map for the level if the player looks downwards.
- The player can also press the magnet button on the VR glasses (if available) to display the mini map for 10 seconds.
- After passing the level successfully, the player can enter his name in a level-specific Highscore list, where the time will be recorded as well.
- The name will be entered through looking at the keys on the on-screen Keyboard.
- After level 2, there are some switches on the ground. If the player steps on them, a random wall near the switch goes down, opening a passage. After a few seconds, it goes back to it's original position.
