Expert system that allows to make the diagnosis of a failure of some mechanical and electronic of a direct injection engine. The user who will use the system, or a novice in the field or in any case a mechanical novice with a level of preparation medium - low, it will face a real experienced mechanic that will help in the diagnosis of the fault. After the diagnosis you can get more information about the failure, and also comes recommended repairs to be made. The scenario of typical use of the expert system is as follows: the system tries to diagnose the fault by subjecting the user questions of diagnostic only after establishing his level of preparation in the field, thus drawing up a profile based on the answers to general questions randomly selected by the system. Finally, the system carries out a description of the fault and the cause and provides the solution to follow to perform the repair. Check Engine mimics the behavior of an experienced mechanic who questions a user who may have a level of preparation for low, medium or high, requesting information relating to the failure to diagnose. After subjecting the user a series of questions, the system is able to diagnose the type of fault. Finally, the number and order of the questions that are posed to you are influenced by the responses that it gradually provides.
