In this post, I am going to show you how to install PArSJAd-3D on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Before you start, you will need to download the APK/XAPK installer file, you can find download button on top of this page. Save it to easy-to-find location.

Below you will find a detailed step-by-step guide, but I want to give you a fast overview of how it works. All you need is an emulator that will emulate an Android device on your Windows PC and then you can install applications and use it - you see you're playing it on Android, but this runs not on a smartphone or tablet, it runs on a PC.

Step By Step Guide To Install PArSJAd-3D using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen
  3. Once installed, click "PArSJAd-3D" icon on the home screen to start using, it'll work like a charm :D

[Note 2] about Bluetooth: At the moment, support for Bluetooth is not available on BlueStacks. Hence, apps that require control of Bluetooth may not work on BlueStacks.

The Application, realised under the project “PArSJAd - Archaeological Park of the Northern Adriatic Sea”, financed by the Cross Border Cooperation Programme Italy–Slovenia 2007-2013, is a holistic guide for easier orientation during the visit at the museums involved in the project and for deeper knowledge of their contents in a dynamic and personalised way.
The Mobile App allows to access the information regarding the archaeological sites of Altino, Concordia Sagittaria, Adria and San Basilio di Ariano nel Polesine as well as further documents and multimedia material.
However, it’s through the Augmented Reality that the App offers a further added value which makes the guide unique in its kind, suggestive and appealing.
By using GPS technology of the portable device, it’s possible to display a visit tour on the site chosen and to enjoy the contents of the Augmented Reality which depict the site details of particular importance.
The following 3d virtual reconstructions have been realised thanks to the 3d modelling technique on the basis of rigorous scientific data:
ALTINO (VE)
Three elements of the archaeological site: Domus della Pantera, a part of the Decumano, a road which crossed the north-eastern area of the Roman settlement and the bank laying on the channel Siloncello.
CONCORDIA SAGITTARIA (VE)
A reconstruction focused on the Early Christian monument complexes of Concordia: Trichora Martyrium, Basilica Apostolorum and burial environments behind the Basilica.
ADRIA (RO)
Blacksmith’s house having an adjacent artisan laboratory and showing the type of housing typical of Etruscan culture adapted to the marshy environment of Pianura Padana. The house is characterised by wooden and branches frame and covered with a layer of soil, along with reclamation works for soil stabilization.
SAN BASILIO DI ARIANO NEL POLESINE (RO)
The archaeological finds dated to Early Christian period and recovered in Tenuta Forzello, made up of an octagonal baptistery (adjacent to a Church) and of the funerary area behind the apse, with tombs “alla cappuccina”.
