Higher test consists of eight tests in a quantitative part and an oral part, and a test piece.

Quantitative part (40 + 40 data):
1. XYZ, which consists of 24 tasks, which examines the ability to solve mathematical problems in the areas of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, function theory and statistics.
2. KVA, which consists of 20 tasks, which examines the ability to make quantitative comparisons in the areas of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, function theory and statistics.
3. NOG, which consists of 12 tasks, which examines the ability to think logically with the help of mathematical problems.
4. DTK, which consists of 24 tasks, which examines the ability to understand and interpret graphs, tables and maps.

Verbal part (40 + 40 data):
1. WORD, which consists of 20 tasks, which examines the ability to understand words and concepts in the Swedish language.
2. MEK, which consists of 20 tasks, which examines the ability to put into words and expressions in context.
3. READ, which consists of 20 tasks, which examines the ability to understand texts in Swedish.
4. ELF, which consists of 20 tasks, which examines the ability to understand texts in English.

Test portion - every year there is an additional test portion conducted to develop new questions for future tests. This part consists of data from the aforementioned parts. What dubblettdel that was a test to get to know for the test day's end.
Answers to the university entrance exam will be published one hour after the sample end to studera.nu, SVT's teletext, and in most newspapers.

Högskoleprovet is a Swedish national aptitude test which will examine the knowledge and skills needed for higher studies. The results of the university entrance exam constitute a special category of applicants for training programs at Swedish universities and other educational institutions.

The test is held twice a year, once in spring and once in autumn. When the tests are always done on Saturdays shifts dates a little every year, but vårprovet is almost always at the end of March or beginning of April, while the autumn test is in September or October.
