SMARTalk is the official IP phone (VoIP) app of the SMARTalk service that significantly reduces smartphone call charges.
With a 050 number, you can save up to 60% on calls to your mobile, home or business phone. You can also make calls overseas at a discount of 8 yen/30 seconds (tax exempt). Moreover, the initial cost and monthly basic fee are 0 yen!
SMARTalk is available to those who are already subscribed to the SMARTalk service.

You can use a 050 phone number for a basic monthly fee of 0 yen. Initial costs and options such as answering machine are also 0 yen.
◆Call charges are low
At 8.8 yen/30 seconds (tax included), you can save on call charges compared to rate plans offered by mobile phone companies for smartphones.
◆Great deals both to and from overseas International calls to supported areas are as cheap as 8 yen/30 seconds (tax exempt). If you can connect to the internet overseas, you can make calls to Japan for the same call charges as domestic calls.
