In this post, I am going to show you how to install Archanoid on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Before you start, you will need to download the APK/XAPK installer file, you can find download button on top of this page. Save it to easy-to-find location.

Below you will find a detailed step-by-step guide, but I want to give you a fast overview of how it works. All you need is an emulator that will emulate an Android device on your Windows PC and then you can install applications and use it - you see you're playing it on Android, but this runs not on a smartphone or tablet, it runs on a PC.

Step By Step Guide To Play Archanoid using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen
  3. Once installed, click "Archanoid" icon on the home screen to start playing, it'll work like a charm :D

Archanoid – a game about the destruction of Moscow.

Do you remember Breakout or Arkanoid? It’s the same thing, only each block is a house. One of the historical buildings which were destroyed in Moscow in the last 25 years. Play the 10 levels of the game, destroy all the 500 buildings, collect achievements. Get a "cap" and a "paver", a "bulldozer" and a "wrecking ball". Become a "developer", a "foreman", a "prefect", and, eventually, a "mayor".

The Encyclopedia. Contains data on 500 buildings which were lost from 1992 to 2015, stories of their demolition, historical photographs.

The Achievements:
"Cap" – destroy all historical buildings that were lost in Moscow under mayor Luzhkov (1992-2010).
"Paver" – destroy all historical buildings that were lost in Moscow under mayor Sobyanin (2010-2015).
"Developer" – buy the chance to destroy Moscow’s historical buildings.
"Bulldozer" – destroy 500 buildings.
And many more.

The free version contains the first three levels of the game – districts Arbat, Zamoskvorechye, Khamovniki. Get access to all of the ten levels when you buy the full version.

The game has three difficulty levels which differ in ball speed and set of bonuses. On the hard level the platform is waggling.
