LoadFlow calculation is the tool for performing power flow study on the electrical network. The objective of the tool is to calculate the power flow through the branches and determine the busbar voltage magnitude and angle at which network achieved the steady state voltage stability. This program is developed using standard power flow equation available in different literature. Only single voltage level network can be model. For detail of power flow algorithm consult the website openelectrical.org.

How To Use:

Application is divided into three section i.e. busbar data, branches data and results. Input data are store internally in a database. To initialize the database maximum number of busbars, rated voltage and rated power must be define. These data are also the base of per unit system. Press refresh button to initiate the database. Required number of busbars and lines will be defined automatically with the initial value. User can update the data by modifying the required content and by pressing refresh button. Lines are created between each busbars which can be identify by bus index. If user desire not to consider the line between particular busbars then simply insert that line length equal to zero. In the branch section shunt filter is of capacitive type and is connected at a busbar define by the index. Calculation can be perform by pressing Calculate LoadFlow button. Calculation can only be perform again when previous calculation are cleared. This can be done through menu option and press clear results. Clear database will remove the input data stored.
