This simple app allows you to quickly mute the following sounds from your device with just 1 tap:

* Notifications
* Phone Ringer
* System
The full version is now available at: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=quick.mute.Full
Please try the free version first.
This app is completely free without any nag popups and no annoying advertising. If you like this app, please support development by purchasing the full version when it's available. I will add a menu item on the home screen to allow you to purchase the full version when it's ready as well as describe the details on what it can do.
This app also uses the Photos/Media/Files and Storage permissions because it stores your original volume levels in a database file so it can be restored when you un-mute the sounds.
Please note that Android does not allow changing Notifications, Ringer and System sound volumes individually. Example, if you change the Ringer volume, Android will also change the Notifications and System volumes to match the Ringer volume. If Google changes this behaviour in the future, please let me know so I can change this app to allow you to have control of these individually.
This app will not change the sound you hear when you put your phone to your ear because that one is too important for an app to change.
Important: Before running this app. Please adjust your sounds exactly the way you wish because the app remembers the way you originally had the sound levels prior to using the app. When you mute the sounds and restore them, the original levels will be restored.
I most cases, you don't need to set anything up when first running the app. To mute the sounds from the app, just tap the speaker icon from the first screen that's displayed. The speaker will turn grey and a quick message indicating the sounds were muted will be displayed. To get your sounds back, tap the speaker and it will turn blue letting you know the sounds are restored to their original levels.
If you want to limit the app from not muting a particular sound, tap "Settings" from the main screen and a screen with lightbulbs will be displayed. From that screen you can tap the lightbulbs. By default all of the lightbulbs are lit indicating all of those sounds will be muted when the speaker is tapped. As an example, you want to mute all sounds except for the Alarm sounds. Just tap the lightbulb next to "Alarm" and the lightbulb will not be lit indicating that sound level will not be affected when you tap the speaker to mute sounds.
Now for the best part. This app has a widget. Install the widget on your screen and anytime you want to mute the sounds, turn on your device and just tap the speaker. Just one tap for muting and one tap to restore the sounds!
There will not be any annoying nag screen or popups that interfere with you using the free app. The full version of this app will allow you to schedule when the sounds will be muted during each day of the week and even you want the sounds to be muted. As an example, you will be able to set it up where you can have the device be silent during the time you are sleeping except for the alarm to wake you up. You will also be allowed to control the volume levels when the app mutes the sounds. In other words, you will be able to have it mute all the way with no sound or just part of the way like 50% loudness. It's very flexible.
*** If you need help using this app, please contact me and I will walk you through the needed steps.
******* Please note that Google apps and other 3rd. party apps may change volume levels. This app can't stop those app from changing the volumes. I opened a bug report to Google and 'm currently waiting for Google and other developer forums to respond to this issue. When I get the answer, I will also post instructions on my app to ensure the alarm volume level is muted when you want it muted.
