This is especially good news for those following a more plant-based lifestyle. Animal products are not the only way to get these healthy fats!

The most prevalent fatty acid in avocados is oleic acid (which is also found in olive oil). Oleic acid has been connected to lowered inflammation in the body, as well as healthier cells. Additionally, avocados are full of fiber, have been shown to lower cholesterol in clinical trials, and are full of folate. They’re also a great source of vitamins K, E, C, magnesium and potassium.
