We are pleased to introduce you to the Prevention Link App. We are so excited to have you explore this tool to learn what Prevention Link can offer you!

After more than 25 years of success operating as the Occupational Disability Response Team (ODRT), we rebranded Ontario’s only holistic and comprehensive disability prevention program to what we now call Prevention Link. It is a high-quality program under the OFL umbrella, with the support of Ontario’s Ministry of Labour.

While we have a fresh look, we still offer the same quality training, workshops and information that our program is known for and more.

Check out the Occupational Disability Response Training section to learn more about upcoming trainings and workshops by clicking the “Workshops” tab. The Occupational Disability Response Training is the core of the programming we offer at Prevention Link. Our training is designed to help workers apply their skills and problem solve on primary and secondary prevention initiatives in their workplaces, as well as understand their rights and obligations under the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act.

Next, you’ll want to spend some time in the Return to Work section. Return to Work, is often referred to as R-T-W. The RTW section is filled with information that will help you to identify and address gaps in your own workplace return-to-work program. Now, if your workplace doesn’t have a RTW program or you have never heard of such a program, don’t worry. Prevention Link can assist and offer you guidance to help you customize the right action plan for your workplace.

At Prevention Link, we are committed to promoting a culture of safety and improved return-to-work outcomes for the entire workforce. That’s why, our RTW services use primary and secondary disability prevention techniques to help make sure workplaces are safer for all workers.

The Lighthouse Initiative is a new component for us. The goal for this initiative is to help vulnerable and marginalized workers learn more about their rights and the laws that guide them as a worker in Ontario. We strongly believe that whether it’s understanding Ontario’s health & safety rights and obligations, knowing what the minimum wage is or even what to do if you are injured in the workplace – it is your right as a worker in Ontario to know the facts.

As you explore this section of our App, you will find interactive factsheets with tips and links that will guide you whether you are a newcomer to Ontario’s workforce or a long-time worker in any sector.

If you have any questions or comments about our program or our app let us know – Prevention Link is here to help! Contact any of our staff at info@preventionlink.ca.
