Mont Blanc ( Italian Monte Bianco, literally white mountain). crystalline massif which reaches a height of 4810 m is located in. The Western Alps within the mountain system of the Alps. It is located on the border of France and Italy in the regions of Haute-Savoie and Courmayeur. The highest point of the Alps and Europe without taking into account the Caucasian peaks. The length is about 50 km. The area of glaciation is over 200 km2 the large glacier Mer-de-Glas.

Under Mont Blanc an automobile tunnel 11.6 km long connecting France and Italy is laid. The passage through the tunnel is for a fee. The fare depends on the side of entry the type of vehicle and the number of trips.

At the western foot of Mont Blanc on the French side is the famous ski resort of Chamonix. At the southern on the Italian side Courmayeur.

At present this act and the attached cards have legal force for both French and Italian governments. One of the prints from Sarde Atlas made in 1823 defines the boundary at the very top of the mountain. The Convention of March 7, 1861 recognizes this through the attached map taking into account the limits of the array.
