In this post, I am going to show you how to install Sky Shot (Screenshot) on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Step By Step Guide To Install Sky Shot (Screenshot) using BlueStacks

How to use:

1. Click the app icon to start 2 notifications.

2. Click that notification and use your finger to drag a rectangle on the screen to take Screenshot.

3. Use your finger to drag the image and move anywhere you like.

4. Screen is small, you can move part of a large image out of the screen and continue navigate your page.

5. Long press on the "floating screenshot image" to trigger menu options.

- Menu options explanation:
[1] Google by image
[2] Google by OCR (OCR to get the text from image, then google the text)
[3] OCR to ... (OCR to get the text from image, then open with your favorite apps)
[4] Save (Save to note)
[5] Share to ...
[6] Open with ...
[7] Dismiss (Or just double click on the image to dismiss)
[8] Shot one more (start to drag a rectangle to take screenshot)
[9] Re-shot (Dismiss current screenshot and start to drag a rectangle to take screenshot))
[10] Clone to sky (Clone current screenshot to screen).

6. To make an image on top of other image, simply use "Clone to sky" from menu and dismiss current image, to achieve the same goal.

7. Double click on the image to quickly dismiss.

8. The second notification, Settings options, including open saved album, autostart, and customization of line border.

9. The "Delay Shot" in Settings means start drag after seconds countdown to 0, useful when you want to screenshot something which might not possible if no delay, e.g. Facebook fullscreen video.

Troubleshooting Q&A:

Q: Unable to click "ALLOW" button when prompt permission, only "DENY" button is working.
A: It's a known issue caused by other overlay app is running. Please double check any "always on top" or "overlay" feature's app is running at this moment and you should temporary close that app.

Q: Obtained black screenshot.
A: It's Android feature for app to prevent from screenshot.

Q: Toast countdown and autostart notification in Huawei phone doesn't works properly.
A: It's caused by bug and changed in Huawei phone after updated to Android 7.0. No solution yet.

FAQ:

Q: Maximum images on sky ?
A: Default to 80 images but the actual value depends on device configuration.

Q: Difference between Lite and Full version ?
A: Full version included OCR feature which occupy ~18 MB. The English trained data is located at /sdcard/tesseract_languages/tessdata/eng.traineddata, and you should delete this file if you've uninstalled Full version.
