In this post, I am going to show you how to install PHOTO SIZE RULER on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Step By Step Guide To Install PHOTO SIZE RULER using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. Use a paper or a bright surface to put the coin in the bottom of the photo. Put what you will measure above the coin.
Click button "magnifying glass" and select the COIN that you will use as size reference. PS!: You can write the COIN diameter directly in the field "COIN REFERENCE" if the coin is not listed
Take the photo. Select only the area where the objects are, click in the rectangle and move the white dots in the image to resize the area.
You can rotate the photo to position the coin in bottom of the photo. You also can use FILTERS to improve the separation "object-background" if is necessary
Click MEASURE!

There are two images. The right shows how the Algorithm separates the objects from the ground. The Left show the original photo and the measured rectangles.
Each rectangle has a number and the size is showed under the images.

PS – The objects have to be separated in the photo.
PS – Taking photos parallel with the objects and with FLASH will improve analysis performance.
PS – The COIN REFERENCE is OBLIGATORY be right for a correct measure.
PS - Try to take similar photos to the example photo, showed in the app start. Put the COIN and OBJECT in the center area of the photo.
PS!- You can write the COIN diameter directly in the field "COIN REFERENCE" if the coin is not listed.
ADVISE - If necessary, look how the filters improve performance. Filter list: noise reduction, invert (dark surface and bright objects), two threshold types and proportional threshold ACTION BAR.
Use filters before measure.
