The pilgrimage chapel dedicated to the honor of the Sacred (God), Corpus Christi and the Virgin Mary and St. Felix and Adaucta was built between 1382-1393 on the former Cattle Market, today's Karlovo náměstí. The chapel was founded near the original wooden and later stone tower, from which they have been exhibited relics of saints and some jewels from the treasure of the coronation of Emperor Charles IV.
The chapel was built in its center in the form of centers with a ring of chapels and massive square tower, situated on the center of the building. Foundation plan should probably take the form of a Greek cross whose arms except the western side was completed polygonal conclusions and diagonals apparently inserted between the arms of another polygonal chapel. The building was oriented to the east, with the main entrance on the west side of Zderaz and from the south of Emmaus. The predecessor of the building was a wooden tower from which pilgrims every year were shown to the holy relics belonging to the imperial coronation treasure acquired by Charles IV. in 1350 and supplemented by other relics kept in Karlštejn and then in St. Vitus treasure. In 1403, the chapel was handed over to the University of Prague, which was used until the early 17th century, among others, as a burial prominent personalities of university life. In 1628 the Jesuits took over the chapel in 1784, the sanctuary was abolished, deconsecrated and after 1789 sold at auction for building materials. To demolition occurred shortly after 1790. The remains of the chapel are now part of today's hidden under the roadway and park.


The virtual model of one possible variant form of chapel and stone towers, extinct in the late 18th century, was founded in 2016 and based on their mass model, which was created for the exhibition in Prague Jan Hus and the Hussite 1415-2015. The exhibition was prepared Archiv hl. City Hall and was opened in Clam-Gallas Palace in 2015. The model is part of the collections of the Museum of the City. City Hall.


Digital models Gate Chapel of Corpus Christi and the remnant of the tower at Charles Square were created for a virtual exhibition of Charles IV. and Prague - town planning, building types and selected construction projects (www.praha-archeologicka.cz). The exhibition was supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic as part of national celebrations of the 700th anniversary of the birth of Emperor Charles IV. and it is included in the program strategy AV21.
