It is no secret that everyone is worried about security and privacy. The problem with modern implementations of security such as encryption is that the average consumer doesn’t see the effects. Methods like HTTPS (hypertext transfer protocol secure), SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) and IPsec (Internet Protocol security) are background methods and don’t prevent physical privacy invasions such as someone reading messages from your phone.
MessageEncrypter is the solution to this problem. By using a combination of cryptographic methods the app encrypts the message before the application layer of communication, preventing both physical and online invasions of privacies.
The app works using a cipher, a user-defined code lock used to encrypt a message. The user inputs a string and the algorithm outputs a string that can then be sent over a messaging app. The recipient of this message must know the cipher and have the app in order to decrypt the message.
