In this post, I am going to show you how to install Minesweeper on Windows PC by using Android App Player such as BlueStacks, LDPlayer, Nox, KOPlayer, ...

Before you start, you will need to download the APK/XAPK installer file, you can find download button on top of this page. Save it to easy-to-find location.

Below you will find a detailed step-by-step guide, but I want to give you a fast overview of how it works. All you need is an emulator that will emulate an Android device on your Windows PC and then you can install applications and use it - you see you're playing it on Android, but this runs not on a smartphone or tablet, it runs on a PC.

Step By Step Guide To Play Minesweeper using BlueStacks

  1. Download and Install BlueStacks at: https://www.bluestacks.com. The installation procedure is quite simple. After successful installation, open the Bluestacks emulator. It may take some time to load the Bluestacks app initially. Once it is opened, you should be able to see the Home screen of Bluestacks.
  2. Open the APK/XAPK file: Double-click the APK/XAPK file to launch BlueStacks and install the application. If your APK/XAPK file doesn't automatically open BlueStacks, right-click on it and select Open with... Browse to the BlueStacks. You can also drag-and-drop the APK/XAPK file onto the BlueStacks home screen
  3. Once installed, click "Minesweeper" icon on the home screen to start playing, it'll work like a charm :D

If you’ve ever played Minesweeper on your computer, now you can experience this legendary game for free on your mobile device. The rules of the game remain the same, but with the mobile version, you will get very enjoyable experiences.

The challenge for you is still a table containing empty squares, mines will be placed in any position of the square and be hidden. You will start the challenge by touching a square in the table, a space of squares is opened and the squares with number inside, that is the number of mines in the eight adjacent squares around that square.

If you think that a square has a mines, you can use the flag below to tick. The game will end when you open all of the squares has no mines and find out the minefield.

Like the PC version, the mobile version also has other modes of play for you to choose from such as Easy, Medium, Hard. At the Ease level, your challenge will be a table of squares with size 9×9 and 10 mines. With Average level, the table of squares will be 16 × 16 and 40 mines. And with the Difficulty mode, you will have to find 99 mines in the table of squares size 16 × 30.
