The Court of Auditors of the Municipality of Rio de Janeiro (TCMRJ) through the 3rd Inspectorate, which operates in the areas of Education, Culture and Social Development, developed the Guest Program for School Units of the Municipal School of River City January, which here will be called simply Visits to Schools Program.

Created in 2003, aiming to assist the carioca society in the search for better public education, the School Visit Program is composed of auditors teams visiting schools serving from 6th to 9th grade of elementary school from all over the Rio municipality from January.

At each visit, the teams have direct contact with students, principals, teachers, agents of food handlers and other school professionals. Still maintain contact with parents through a questionnaire that is distributed to students for presentation to the responsible at home and, after answered, forwarded, for free, via mail to TCMRJ.

The teams visit all the physical structure of the school unit, photographing the points of greatest weakness so they can be reported to the Municipal Department of Education.
The visits to the Schools program always prized its proximity to the population. For more present than the TCMRJ takes place in the public schools through the visits of teams, it is extremely important the direct participation of those who live the daily life of municipal education.
