In the condition of being fit and not lacking in anything, as human beings, may we deserve to pray. At least pray for the favor of Allah SWT to forgive all sins, both those that we worship or not. Also asking to remain given the strength of faith and health in order to carry out all his commands. Then beg for His protection from the devil's interference and our own desires so as not to fall into the abyss of immorality.
Especially if we realize that the situations and conditions we face everyday rotate like a cart. Maybe today we can worship properly and sincerely, but who knows the following days we will be feeling lazy? Today we may be so happy, but who knows what our fate will be tomorrow or the day after tomorrow be the opposite? Therefore, in any good condition we still need to pray. Muhammad Rosulullah peace be upon him. said, "There is nothing noble in God's view, apart from praying to Him, we are in a state of space." (Narrated by Al-Hakim).
Of course, in praying do not ask for something that we think is good, but actually bad. For example, because we have been suffering from severe illness, because they always feel tortured and we ask for death. Shouldn't we ask for healing. The Holy Prophet. also forbid us to beg for death. Abu Huroiroh ra. expressed, Muhammad Rosulullah peace be upon him. said, You must not ask to die. Do not also pray for him before death comes in person. Because if you are dead, then stop your charity. Indeed, the longer a believer lives, the more good he can do "(HR. Muslim)
Allah SWT also promised to answer the prayers of His servants. And your Lord said, "Pray to me, surely I will allow you." (Surah 40 / Al-Mukmin: 60) "And He allows (prayers) those who believe and do good and add (reward) to them from His gifts. (Qur'an, 42 / Ash-Shuro: 26)
In the hadith it is also revealed that Allah will not refuse the prayer of His servants. Muhammad Rosulullah peace be upon him. said, "Truly Allah, the All-Living, All-Glorious God, feels ashamed if someone raises both hands to pray, then that person is rejected empty and disappointed". (HR. Four Hadith Experts, except Nasai from Salman ra.)
Thus every prayer must be answered by Him. In fact there are three people who get priority prayer immediately granted.
Muhammad Rosulullah peace be upon him. explained, "There are three people who will not be refused prayer by Allah SWT, those who are fasting until the time before breaking, a fair head of state, and people who are persecuted." (Narrated by Tirmidhi from Abu Huroiroh ra.)
If the prayers that we have prayed have not been answered, it does not mean that our prayers are rejected. Muhammad Rosulullah peace be upon him. said: "If a Muslim turns his face (prostration) to Allah in asking for something, surely Allah will give it. And the gift is hastened or become a deposit in the hereafter". (Narrated by Ahmad from Abu Huroiroh ra.)
