The project includes attend the Graduate Multidisciplinary Master's Program in Education, Culture and Territories Semi-Arid - PPGESA of Bahia State University - UNEB DCH III and aims to understand the hybrid language of the stories in electronic comics (electronic comics) as agent of media literacy in the reality of public school in the Brazilian semiarid region. Proposes the analysis of the technological resources and their contribution to a new language "hybrid language" in the context of electronic comics anchored with the local culture of the São Francisco Valley through the application "Turminha Old Chico". These multi-language, coming from the digital culture and potentiated by hypermedia cause changes in the way of reading and writing of users of digital media. These resources desmitificam traditional forms of text production and makes a dynamic proposal for interaction between subjects, who handle these equipment and bring already with prior knowledge of the Old Chico legends in order to allow a better appropriation of knowledge through familiarity with the themes and the freedom to produce and consume content available in cyberspace.
